What is NDIS Plan Management?

Plan Management is a service funded directly by the NDIS to help participants manage their funding, track their budget, pay providers’ invoices and claim reimbursements.

How Does Plan Management Work?

Getting Started – Sign Up

Using First Choice Plan Management is quick and easy, and we can activate your account in just 30 minutes – 

Step 1

Click on the Sign up button and send us your NDIS Plan.

Step 2

One of our friendly staff will call you back and explain what we do, how plan management works and answer any questions you have. Then if you’d like to sign up we will talk you through our service agreement and consent form.

Step 3

Sign and return the service agreement and consent form and you’re all set to go.

Welcome Pack

Once you’ve signed up, we’ll send you a welcome pack and all the information you need to get started.  Your personal Plan Manager will explain the different types of funding (core supports, capacity supports and capital supports) in your plan along with products or services you can access and claim for in each area.

Help Finding Providers

We’ll guide you through how to find the right providers to suit your needs and explain how the payment system works and how to manage your budget, so you don’t run out of funds.


Our payment process is streamlined and easy.  You can choose your providers (registered or unregistered) and we’ll pay the bills on your behalf.  Simply give your providers the letter we give you and we’ll take care of the rest, so you don’t have to pay a thing. And, if you need to buy any claimable items, simply send us your receipt and we’ll reimburse you.  

Tracking Your Budget

Your Plan Manager will take you through how to download and use the Entiprius App.  The Entiprius App gives you real-time updates on your funding, so you can track and manage your spending and see all your invoices. Plus we’ll send you monthly statements so you can always stay on top of your funding.

Ongoing Support & Quarterly Budget Health Check

Your personal Plan Manager is always around for help and support to answer your questions and queries.  Plus, we’ll check in on you every 3-months to help you manage your budget and get the most out of your NDIS funding.

Supporting You & Your Providers

First Choice Plan Management will support you to use the provider of your choice.  If they are not new to the NDIS, we can help set them up for easy payment processing. We’ll do all the necessary checks, ensure they are charging correctly, advise on item codes and provide an invoice template to make everything smooth and easy. Plus, as we pay super quickly (2 days), providers love to work with us.

Switching Plan Managers

Switching your Plan Manager is easy with First Choice. Even if you have opted for self-managed or NDIA plan management*, it’s okay to change your mind and let us ease the burden for you. Simply call us and we can talk you through the whole process.

*some more complex NDIS plans may require NDIA management.

How Do I know If Plan Management Is Included In My NDIS Plan?

If you have an NDIS plan, plan management is included under the ‘Improved Life Choices’ section. Every NDIS participant has the right to access plan management at no additional cost.  So, if it is not included in your plan, simply call your NDIA Planner or LAC to request a plan review or contact us and we’ll guide you through the process.

The NDIS has a pricing schedule which means that all Plan Managers get paid the same. However, you’ll notice we’re different from your first contact with us.
